Leisure Attendants are team members primarily trained to manage queues for rides and tyres and assist in keeping the changing rooms and toilets clean and tidy in the waterpark. Individuals should be reliable and have good timekeeping; friendly and approachable. You should be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively. 

Hours
Varying shift patterns are available including evenings and weekends.

Primary Objectives
To assist the waterpark lifeguards to maintain a safe, disciplined but welcoming environment for guests by helping them follow the safety guidelines within our waterpark so that everyone can have a fun, safe, and enjoyable day out.  They will help ensure a high standard of hygiene and maintenance and will include activities such as litter picking, emptying bins, cleaning toilets, and other duties as required by the management team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

A reasonable level of health and fitness is required including good vision and hearing. Leisure and Slide Attendants should be honest, mentally alert, numerate and well organised. Individuals should be able to work as a team and communicate effectively.

Slide Guard and Leisure Attendants may work in either position and as such should be familiar with both positions duties and expectations.

The Slide Guard role is essential in providing the right image for Splashdown Quaywest as this can significantly contribute to the success of the company. Slide Guards should: –

· Look and behave in a professional way.

· Be clean, neat and tidy in the correct uniform provided.

· Be punctual and reliable in arriving to work for their allocated shifts

· Be alert at all times

· Adhere to the pool rules and procedures

· Be courteous to customers and staff members at all times

· They should not talk on station

· They should not abuse their position of authority

Slide Guards must familiarise themselves with a range of operations including but not limited to :-

· Health and Safety rules and procedures of the waterpark

· Radio communication systems and checks

· Anticipate problems and prevent accidents

· The appropriate actions to take

· Proactively assist customers providing excellent customer service

· Height restrictions on slides

· Responding to Manager or Supervisor instruction

Slide Guards are permitted to control the slides on Tower B which do not include a body of water that would need a NPLQ Lifeguard to control. Slide Guards may also help on Tower A as long as they are accompanied by an NPLQ trained Lifeguard.

You are expected to carry out any reasonable task asked of you by Mangers or Supervisors.

Leisure Attendants are an essential part of the site and ensure that the waterpark is looking its best and meeting customer expectations. Leisure Attendants must familiarise themselves with the expectations and carry out the following:-

· Cleaning and Tidying procedures including but not limited to-

o Changing rooms

o Toilets

o Outside Areas

o Seating / Sun Lounger Areas

· Emptying internal and external bins, including recycling bins.

· Keeping all areas clean and tidy.

· Helping Slide Guards / Lifeguards as required.

· Checking time bands, controlling tower access and controlling queues.

· Ring and Mat organisation, controlling the queues and returning discarded items to relevant areas.

· Helping customers and providing excellent customer service.

· Being proactive in ensuring the Waterpark is clean and meets customer expectations.

You are expected to carry out any reasonable task asked of you by Managers or Supervisors.

Training
Team members are expected to follow the training and guidance given to them by the management and supervisor teams. You may need to attend any scheduled training days as well as keeping any necessary qualifications up to date.

Good spoken and written English is a must.
